NOFAS-UK Pregnant Pause
On the 9th minute of the 9th hour on the 9th day of the 9th month the flash mob froze to tell women that if they avoid alcohol for just 9 months whilst they are pregnant - they can be sure their baby will never be born with alcohol related brain damage.
Men and women froze with balloons up their tops to simulate pregnancy. As you can imagine this provoked quite a stir!
The event was a success and was a vibrant way to inform people about the incidence of FASD.
